Now, the team at VPI is a little biased, but we feel like the benefits of wood and its uses are infinite. This week, we want to discuss an article written in the November edition of Pallet Enterprise highlighting the benefits of wood at every stage, from newly planted timber to mature trees to processed timber. Let's briefly talk about the highlights of this piece and the benefits. Did you know that forests absorb C02 from the atmosphere via photosynthesis? Did you know trees are a renewable resource and once they absorb carbon, they store it? Did you know that manufacturing processes typically use all part of the log and do not waste anything? You see, wood is the most recyclable and viable material available. It is manufactured and managed responsibly and although sometimes there is a misconception about the sustainability of wood products, a closer look at the facts truly show that it is in fact the most sustainable. We invite you to head over and take a closer look at the facts about how #WoodWins ! And get in touch with us today for sustainable solutions!
This week, October 15th-21st, 2017 is a very special week for the Valley Pallet, Inc. family and more importantly, for our industry, as we celebrate National Forest Products week. This is a week in which we celebrate the sustainability of this sector and its contributions to the economy and our everyday lives. President Trump recognizes this week as National Forest Products week by saying, "During National Forest Products Week, we acknowledge and celebrate the many uses of our parks, forests, and woodlands, and we honor the dedicated Americans who work to ensure our forests remain productive and magnificent for future generations." And that's what we are doing as sector, we are ensuring that our forests are managed in a way that benefits generations to come.
